PIPE FLOCCULATOR
Krofta DAF systems do not require a pipe flocculator, we use in-line dosing of chemicals for our DAF units and have been doing so for the past 40 years, with great success and high removal efficiencies. However, to meet specific client requirements, we do design and manufacture pipe flocculators.
The Krofta Pipe Flocculator (KPFL) is a plug flow reactor in which processes such as coagulation, flocculation, pH control, precipitation and demulsification take place in highly controlled conditions. The mixing energy for flocculation is obtained by the turbulence created in the mixing pipes, this process takes place under turbulent flow.
The coagulant is dosed at the raw water inlet point and the flocculant is dosed at the second chemical injection point for creating bigger flocs at the outlet. The mixing pipes ensure the instantaneous and continuous mixing of the chemicals in the raw water.
