Gravity Drain Table
The Krofta’s Gravity Drain Table (GDT) is designed for efficient gravity-based sludge dewatering through a continuously moving belt system. The conditioned sludge is gently fed through specially designed feed trays that ensure uniform distribution across the belt surface for optimized drainage performance.
The system consists of precision-engineered rollers, including tensioning, drive, and tracking rollers, supported by heavy-duty bearing housings for stable and reliable operation. The belt movement is powered through an electric motor, speed variator, and reduction gearbox arrangement, ensuring smooth and controlled operation.
An advanced pneumatic belt tracking system continuously monitors and maintains belt alignment during operation. The automatic tracking mechanism, equipped with pneumatic bellows and tracking valves, ensures stable belt positioning and uninterrupted dewatering performance.
Partially dewatered sludge is efficiently removed through an adjustable scraper system and discharged through a solids chute. The belt cleaning system utilizes high-pressure spray nozzles to thoroughly wash residual solids from the belt surface. Collected wash water can be filtered and reused for shower applications, supporting efficient water utilization.
To enhance filtrate drainage efficiency, the GDT is equipped with hydrofoils and specially designed plough arrangements that disturb the formed sludge cake, reducing surface tension and improving water release from the sludge. This design significantly improves gravity dewatering performance and sludge conditioning efficiency.
